Trainer Taylor Fritz sent out a trio of starters on Saturday, July 5 at Vernon Downs and each one found their way to the winner's circle.

Starlitcresentroll (pictured above with Leon Bailey) started the roll with a win in the fifth race,  a $10,135 conditioned trot.  The six-year-old gelding by Crescent Fashion trotted the mile in a lifetime best of 1:54.3, paying $10.40 for the win.  Lous Lancelot (John MacDonald) was second best with Helphasarrived (Claude Huckabone Jr.) finishing third.

Owned by Lucky Label Stable LLC of Grove City, Oh., Starlitcresentroll notched his fifth win this season and his 13th career victory.

Fritz's next two tallies came courtesy driver Shawn McDonough, with Justine (1:54.2; $69.00) lighting up the toteboard in the seventh and Fox Valley Crete (1:54.3; $23.20) providing a 10-1 upset in the ninth to complete the training triple.

The training hat trick gives Fritz 150 training tallies in her career with more than $1.3 million in purse earnings.
