Majestic Virgin Wins Sixth Straight

Majestic Virgin maintained perfection in 2025 as the aged pacing mare won her sixth straight race while rising in class on Saturday, June 28 at Kawartha Downs.
Driver Sam Fillion timed the gate to give the mare a lightning start, which carried her to the front from post five before the first turn in the $4,800 conditioned optional claiming event. She posted :26.3, :55.3, and 1:24.3 fractions without a challenge until Forever Bettor (Nick Boyd) popped the pocket turning for home. Majestic Virgin hit top gear at the head of the stretch and easily held the attacker at bay to win by a length in 1:54.4, a new seasonal mark. Clodam Bayama (Reg Gassien) finished third. The winner returned $4.40.
Majestic Virgin, trained and owned by Amanda Riley of Roseneath, Ont., stepped up from the $9,000 claiming ranks and stayed perfect in five starts in her nine-year-old season. Her six-race win streak began with her final start of 2024, a win at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The daughter of Always A Virgin-Fox Valley Tulip has amassed 36 career wins and $331,143 in earnings in 144 starts.
