Burke To Join Breakfast At The Hop

Fresh off his score in the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup with Louprint, trainer Ron Burke will join the Breakfast at the Hop qualifying series on Saturday, June 21 to provide commentary on baby races at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.
Burke, the winningest trainer in harness racing history as he rapidly approaches 16,000 career training victories and $370 million in career earnings will join Breakfast at the Hop for the second consecutive year. A two-time Dan Patch Stakes-winning trainer with the great Sweet Lou and Check Six, Burke has long been committed to the Indiana program, training some of the Hoosier state’s biggest stars such as Go On BB, Always At My Place, Rockin Ron and U.S. Hall of Famer Hannelore Hanover, in addition to many of the sports biggest names over the course of the last 20 years.
Qualifiers will begin at 10 a.m., with the two-year-old takeover in the morning in races four through 14. For those attending Breakfast at the Hop in person, they can enjoy complimentary breakfast served on the track apron beginning at 10 a.m. In addition to breakfast, the Indiana Standardbred Association will sponsor gift card drawings immediately following the morning’s qualifiers for those who attend.
For those unable to attend in person, the Hoosier Park qualifiers will stream on the Hoosier Park AV YouTube channel and feature the commentary of Burke and Hoosier Park racing analyst Jacob Rheinheimer beginning just prior to the first baby race of the morning.
The Breakfast at the Hop series kicked off on June 13 and will continue each Saturday through July 5 during qualifiers.
