Rain or shine, Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel will put forth a total 31-race marathon from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday (June 18).

Oak Grove hosts the Western Kentucky State Fair, which gathers grassroot state-bred prospects for battle in Kentucky Proud Series action. A total of 227 horses dropped into the entry box, resulting in a total of 31 races, many of which feature full fields on the betting card. Because of the large number of races, the day will be divided into a non-betting portion beginning at 8 a.m. (CDT) and a pari-mutuel portion beginning at 2:30 p.m. (CDT). The non-betting card will have 14 races, will be shown on the Churchill Downs Live App — available on Apple TV — and the betting card will have 17 races, will broadcast as usual through distribution feeds and through the available Advanced Deposit Wagering (ADW) sites including TwinSpires.com.

On site, Oak Grove will also host various food trucks for horsemen courtesy of the Kentucky Harness Association. Various gifts of appreciation will also be offered to those in attendance while supplies last. So come to the track for a day of non-stop harness racing action with over $300,000 USD in purses on offer and to witness the equine fruits of the Kentucky breeding program.
