Howmac Charmer Favoured To Repeat At Summerside

Summerside Raceway

A red-hot Howmac Charmer will look to deliver another winning performance as the favourite in the featured pace on Tuesday, June 10 at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

First post for the 15-dash card is set for 6 p.m. with the $3,650 featured pace in Race 14.

Howmac Charmer lines up from post two with Corey MacPherson back in the bike for trainer Kyle Williams and owner Doug Williams of Ontario. The five-year-old son of Malicious, out of Jojoes Shabla, was razor sharp his last start with a 1:55.4 victory. He will look to capitalize on his inside draw and bring another victory back to his Tyne Valley base.

Well Said Celeb will look to spoil the party from post five with trainer-driver Adam Merner in the seat. The five-year-old pacer has paced 1:56-and-change his last three starts while powering home each time.

Hes Touring leaves from post three with David Dowling driving for trainer Clair Sweet. The Hes Watching-Grand Tour gelding has won his last two times out.

Doc Awesome has post one for the Darla MacEachern barn with Paul Langille getting the steer this week. The All Bets Off-Direct Macawesome five-year-old was on a front-end mission last week and hung on for second.

Sauble Attack has post four with Ken Murphy driving for trainer Paul Biggar. The duo have already teamed up for a May 19 win in 1:57.1 at Red Shores Summerside.

Braxtons Boy starts from post six with Brady Sweet driving for trainer Rick Armstrong of Summerside after a runner-up finish in his most recent.

Backstretch Beat sides with Howmac Charmer.

“Howmac Charmer was razor-sharp in winning last out and comes right back to a group he can handle again. Corey will likely put him on the point or in the two-hole. Either way, if he’s near the front he’s the one to beat.”

Plain Jane will look to put her name back in the win column in Race 12, the $3,400 top mares pace of the evening.

Starting from post four, Plain Jane has MacPherson at the controls for trainer Devon Wallace and owners Leigh and Faith Gavin of Tignish. The Shadow Play-Ruthie Jane mare owns a 1:53.1 career mark and has been right there at the finish in her last three local tries.

Going Yard looms the danger from post one with driver Dowling again teaming up with trainer George Rennison. The Always A Virgin-Pride Park mare delivered a sparkling 1:56.4 front-end victory last week and will be looking to repeat with rail control.

Redland Misspretty, another contender, will start from post five with Langille driving for trainer Kyle Williams. The five-year-old took her 1:56.1 lifetime record last week and will demand respect Tuesday.
