MacIntosh Students Headline Friday Mohawk Qualifiers
Blake MacIntosh's students showed up to the Friday, June 6 qualifiers ready to go with three of them returning victorious in their respective qualifying races.
Sugar Packet (Doug McNair) was the first to victory lane for MacIntosh in her career debut with a pocket ride behind stablemate Northern Teardrop (Jody Jamieson), winning by three lengths in 2:00.3. The filly is a freshman daughter of Six Pack and the Windsongs Legacy mare Sugarcane Yankee. Bred by Winbak Farm, she is owned by Bay Pond Racing Stable, MacIntosh and Ozzie Mackay.
A Splash Of Green (James MacDonald) was entered in a field of six with three of them her stablemates. The Green Manalishi S - Allmar Victory filly set every fraction in her debut, completing the mile with a :28.4 final split to win by a half length in 1:59.4. Diane Ingham and Brenda Barnim bred the filly, who is owned by Tim Klemencic, MacIntosh, Kiemmer Holdings Inc., and Chris Storms.
Finally, Miz Miracle joined her classmates with a romp in the final qualifier, winning by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:59.4 with Jody Jamieson at the helm. Bred by Glengate Farms, the freshman daughter of Green Manalishi S and the Father Patrick mare Confession Session is owned by Tim Klemencic and MacIntosh.
