Sippinonsearoc Stars In Buckeye Stallion Series

World champion and a top ranked North America Cup eligible Sippinonsearoc dominated his $27,397 division of the Buckeye Stallion Series for three-year-old pacing colts at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Saturday, May 24, scoring his first win of the season in 1:49.4.
Driver Chris Page took Sippinonsearoc off the gate and settled in third while Odds On Valhalla (Brett Miller) took the field towards the :27.3 opening quarter. Quickly pulling to take over the lead, Sippinonsearoc led at the :54.2 half and 1:22 third quarter. The duo came home in :27.4 to win by 3-1/4 lengths. Odds On Valhalla was second with Southern Rockfest (Luke Hanners) third.
Sippinonsearoc is a Downbytheseaside colt out of the Big Bad John mare, Queen Ann M. Trained by Ron Burke for Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi, R A S Racing and Knox Services, Sippinonsearoc earned his first win of the season in two starts and now has seven career victories from 13 starts, with lifetime earnings surpassing $800,000.
Burke and Page took two more divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series with Harrisburg Heist in 1:50.1 and Cup eligible Swingtown in 1:50.3.
Page also closed out the Buckeye Stallion Series divisions by winning the last two, teaming up with trainers Scott Betts and Beau Brown to win with Accuracy By Volume in 1:54.1 and South Sea in 1:52.1.
Other Buckeye Stallion Series winners included House Of Brix for the trainer/driver, father/son duo Jeff and Trevor Smith in 1:52. The Todd Luther trainee Ohohoh Im On Fire made it three in a row, winning in 1:50.4 with Austin Hanners driving. Woodrow Blue Chip and Dan Noble won their division in 1:52.3 for trainer Ryan Miller.
Also on Saturday’s card was the $36,986 Open Pace, won by Twin B Seamonster in 1:48.4. The Steve Carter trainee led at every call of :26.1, :54.1 and 1:21.1 before posting a :27.3 last quarter to win by a half length over Helium N (Noble). Carbine (Hanners) was third. Twin B Seamonster, a five-year-old Downbytheseaside-See Major gelding, now has 18 wins in 49 lifetime starts and went over $300,000 in earnings.
Racing continues with a special Memorial Day card on Monday, May 26. First post will be 4 p.m. Due to the holiday card, there will be no live racing on Tuesday, May 27; however, there will be qualifiers. The box closes on Monday at 12 p.m.
