Driver Justin Huckabone had a five-win night at Vernon Downs on Friday, May 23.

Huckabone's star of the night was Night Star ($26.20), a 12-1 upset winner in the featured $10,416 conditioned optional claiming trot, prevailing in 1:56.4 over the sloppy track for trainer George Harrison and owner Fran Mazza.

Huckabone’s other wins on the 11-race card were with Modelo ($13.40) and Mickie Mantle ($4.10) for trainer Michelle Warner, Helphasarrived ($3.50) for Claude Huckabone Jr., and Evanator ($6.60) for Larry Futter.

Live harness racing resumes on Saturday, May 24, with a post time of 5:05 p.m.
