Yonkers Raceway has announced an across-the-board purse increase of approximately 10 per cent

, effective Monday, May 7.

The new purse structure now ranges from $9,500 (from the current $8,500) for bottom condition/claimers to $36,000 (from the current $33,000) for the weekly trio of Open Handicaps (trotters, pacers and distaff pacers).

"We know this is the time of year when horsemen have many options, and we're committed to keeping Yonkers the best place to race," General Manager Bob Galterio said.
