Scenic Adventure Strolls In Buffalo Feature

Scenic Adventure made it look easy with a victory in the $15,278 featured pace for mares at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday, April 30.
Letting the dust settle early, Scenic Adventure tucked into third as American Jazz (Kevin Cummings) took the lead. Once positions were established, she swept to the front before the :28.2 opening quarter and never looked back.
Driver Jim Morrill Jr. carved out fractions of :57.4 and 1:26.4, enjoying clear sailing with a 1-1/2 length lead at the top of the stretch. Despite late bids from Mary Kat (Joseph Chindano Jr.) and Summer Slash (Ray Fisher Jr.), Scenic Adventure held firm to win in a season’s best 1:56.3 over a fast half-mile track. Mary Kat and Summer Slash settled for second and third, respectively.
Trained by Samuel Smith and owned by Michael Torcello, the five-year-old Racing Hill–Adventurepan mare now has two wins in 11 seasonal starts, pushing her 2025 earnings to $25,940 and career total to $144,938.
Live racing resumes Friday, May 2 at 2:30 p.m. with an 11-race card.
