Downers Delight Rebounds In Harrington Feature

Downers Delight and driver Pat Berry rebounded in a big way on Monday, April 21, capturing the $23,611 Delaware Special at Harrington Raceway with a sharp 1:51.3 score.
Just a week after bearing out on the final turn and settling for second as the beaten favourite, the seven-year-old Bettors Delight–Astrmowin gelding made amends. Tracking from the pocket, Downers Delight surged in the stretch with a :27.2 final quarter to draw clear by a length over Hundred Dollar Man (Montrell Teague) and pacesetter Adam Twelve (Corey Callahan).
Since being claimed by current connections at the end of January, Downers Delight has now won six of seven starts for trainer Traci Berry and owner TLB Racing of Harrington, Delaware. His nine wins overall in 2025 rank him second among all Standardbreds in North America this year, trailing only Cal Expo-based pacing mare Overthemoonforyou, who leads with 11 victories.
One race later, Berry returned to the winner’s circle, guiding Cerulean Hanover ($7) to a 1:53.3 victory in a $13,889 conditioned pace for trainer Bobby Glassmeyer.
On the undercard, Imaginary Line ($10) took advantage of a perfect pocket trip to capture the $20,139 Winners-Over Pace in 1:53.2, reeling in pacesetter Master Rigger (Barton Dalious) in the stretch to score the win. The Andrew Fulton trainee was steered to victory by Allan Davis for Tribbett Racing of Denton, Maryland. Wager On Me (Anthony Morgan) closed late to complete the trifecta.
Corey Callahan celebrated his 47th birthday in style, scoring back-to-back wins with No Better Joy ($7.60) and Cattleshark ($3.60) in the sixth and seventh races.
Drivers Tony Morgan and Jason Thompson each had three wins on the card.
