Despite periods of heavy downpours and high wind, Harrington Raceway opened for its 66th season of live horse racing Sunday

A large crowd of faithful racing fans were in attendance despite the inclement weather.

Driver Brad Hanners stole the show with four winners including TGs Valuable Art ($33.60) in the first race via disqualification. Hanners also piloted winners Noartographsplease ($2.80), Somethinginthewind ($8.20) and Yankee Fortysix ($8.80). Driver Jim Morand registered a driving double.

Racing will continue on a Sunday through Thursday schedule until June 20. Post time is 5:30 p.m.
