Successful Stallion Auction For SBOA
The Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association (SBOA) completed its annual stallion auction over the weekend and into Monday afternoon.
Breedings for 16 stallions standing in Ontario for the 2025 breeding season were donated by the syndicates through Seelster Farms of Lucan, Ont., Tara Hills Stud of Port Perry, Ont., and Winbak Farm of Inglewood, Ont.
A total of $95,200 was raised for the SBOA through its 2025 stallion auction. These generous donations, as well as the support of Preferred Equine Online, which donated its online platform services to allow the SBOA to retain 100 per cent of proceeds, were instrumental in the auction's success.
SBOA would like to recognize all of those who made bids and those who purchased the 16 stallion fees for 2025, and wishes the winning bidders the best of luck with the breeding season ahead.
The SBOA would like to remind breeders that if you are breeding a mare in 2025 to take the time to fill out the association's membership template by clicking here. Membership is free and enrollment is sincerely appreciated by the SBOA.
