It’s definitely a feather in the cap of any breeder, to have one of their own named ‘Sale Topper’ in a yearling sale. In 2024, Saulsbrook Farm of Nova Scotia were pleased to have the ‘Topper’ in the Atlantic Classic Sale, in PEI, at $40,000, but when their Saulsbrook Big Dog topped the London Yearling Sale, at $150,000, that was big news. It’s not everyday that a breeder from the Maritimes makes headlines in an Ontario sale, but Al and Adrianne McNeil worked hard to make that happen.
