New Vocations Planning Stallion Auction
New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program is currently organizing its 27th Annual Stallion Auction to be held via OnGait.com from Feb. 4-6, 2025.
The Standardbred Transition Alliance accredited charity offers retiring racehorses and broodmares a safety net through rehabilitation, retraining and placement in carefully screened and monitored homes.
“We rehabilitate the horses, break them to ride and care for them until a qualified adopter can be found,” said Dot Morgan, Executive Director. “Then we educate the adopters on the characteristics of racehorses, answer myriads of questions, encourage them through problems and offer training guidelines. New Vocations adoptees may be returned at any time, for any reason throughout their life.”
Morgan noted that the stallion auction is the most important Standardbred fundraiser of the year for New Vocations and a perfect opportunity for stallion owners to show their support of aftercare.
To donate a breeding, email [email protected] or call 937-205-4667. To maximize advertising, breedings need to be received by Jan. 8; however, breedings will be accepted right up until the auction and throughout the spring.
Monetary donations can be made through the New Vocations website at newvocations.org or sent to New Vocations, 719 Dolan Lane, Lexington KY 40511.
