UPDATE: Red Shores Adjusts Weekend Racing Schedule
Due to heavy rain and high winds, which could cause power outages, Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park and the PEI Harness Racing Industry Association will move the card of harness racing scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 to Sunday, Nov. 24 with a 12:30 p.m. (AST) post time.
The card features the annual Horseperson’s Day, and the Paul MacDonald Memorial Driving Championship presented by the PEI Standardbred Horse Owners Association.
The program originally slated for Sunday, Nov. 24 has been moved to Monday, Nov. 25 with a 6 p.m. (AST) first post time.
"Red Shores and the PEI Harness Racing Industry Association appreciates your cooperation," said Red Shores in its announcement on Saturday. "Decisions are made in the best interest of our horsepeople, equine athletes, customers and staff."
