Fresh off a down-the-road 1:53.1 win in a high-level conditioned event, College Tuition rose into the $14,583 Open Handicap Trot at Rosecroft Raceway on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and parlayed a pocket ride into his second consecutive victory.

In line to William Carter, College Tuition left aggressively from post seven and duelled with outside rival Coventry Hall (Trae Porter) before yielding the lead midway on the first turn. College Tuition stalked from a clear pocket through splits of :27 and :56 but was boxed by the first-over Crossfit Mouse (Corey Braden), who pulled from fourth midway up the backstretch, at three-quarters in 1:25.2.

As Crossfit Mouse ground into Coventry Hall turning for home, Carter pointed College Tuition to the open stretch, and the six-year-old Donato Hanover-Stirling Charisma gelding rallied to evade Crossfit Mouse by a half length in 1:55.1. DJ Dan (Johnathan Ahle) lifted three-wide off cover to collar Coventry Hall for third.

Now an eight-time winner this season from 30 starts, College Tuition has won 19 times and banked $$309,908 in his career while competing as a homebred for owner/trainer Eric Foster. He paid $5.40 to win.

The Sunday, Nov. 17 program at Rosecroft features the $125,000 USD Potomac Pace and a Jackpot Hi-5 carryover of $15,543.38. First post is 3 p.m.
