Azucar Jack and Insanity took the fastest way around in their respective co-feature races at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday evening, Nov. 12 with each conditioned class carrying an $8,000 purse.
Azucar Jack took the gate-to-wire route to win the $8,000 conditioned claiming pace for horses and geldings in race three with Colin Kelly in the bike for Thomas Hamm.
Kelly pointed the Hamm student out of the gate from post three, took the early lead and never looked back as they controlled the timer with fractions in :28, :57.1 and 1:25.4. Maintaining his lead over the field, Azucar Jack won by two lengths in 1:55.2. Dalhousie (Jason Ryan) finished second with Sportsline (Natasha Day) third.

In the co-feature, an $8,000 conditioned trot, Insanity and Jason Ryan made every pole a winning one en route to the winner's circle.
The Ben Hollingsworth trainee gained the upper hand right off the gate, protecting pylon position and maintaining at least a 1-1/2-length lead throughout the mile. After trotting through fractions in :29, :59.4 and 1:29.3, Insanity opened up to win by 3-1/2 lengths in 2:00. Heavy Dude E (Samuel Fillion) was second with Playfull Elegance (Robert Doyle) third.
