Trainer Scott McNiven celebrates a milestone of $10 million in career earnings

Trainer Scott McNiven celebrated a career milestone with his stable's earnings topping the $10 million mark on Friday, Nov. 8 at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

McNiven reached the $10 million mark in career earnings with a third-place finish by pacing mare Lolas Sunshine in Friday night’s $7,500 second race.

The 65-year-old Putnam, Ont. horseman, who has trained winners of 35 races and nearly $290,000 in purses this year, has annually been one of the leading trainers at The Raceway and was previously awarded the track's Walltyme Stable Lifetime Achievement Award with his wife Kim. McNiven has earned 1,210 victories lifetime.
