He holds the singular distinction of being the only colt to win both the $1 million Meadowlands Pace and the $1 million Art Rooney at three.
His other stakes wins include the $92,500 International Stallion Stakes at two, and both the $134,265 James Dancer and the $121,000 Oliver Wendell Holmes at three. His winning time in the Meadowlands Pace was 1:49.1, which he then lowered to 1:48.3 in the Oliver Wendell Holmes. Southwind Lynx was developed and trained throughout his career by George Teague for owners for K & R Racing LLC and Teague Inc.
Leavitt also stated that Southwind Lynx had passed his fertility test with flying colours, and booking inquiries should be directed to Steve Katz at Walnut Hall Ltd.
