Crissman-Bier, Teague Win Titles As Harrington's Season Ends
Harrington Raceway’s 78th season of live harness racing came to a close on Wednesday evening, Oct. 23 after a 15-race program.
End of meet honours highlighted the card as trainer Crissy Crissman-Bier notched her second training title and Montrell Teague recorded his first driving title.
Crissman-Bier (pictured above) took the lead in the standings in the fall and held off defending champion Joe Columbo.
Teague (pictured below) was back and forth with Corey Callahan for the lead before a four-win night on Tuesday, Oct. 22 and a double Wednesday which helped him secure the title.
On the closing night program, Allan Davis had three wins, including a victory in the $22,222 trotting feature with Moni Talks LLC's Not For Moni ($2.60), who was a 1:56.1 winner over The Strawboss and Mickey Muscles. The Brendan Davis trainee recorded his third win of the season from 25 starts.
Art Stafford Jr. also had three wins on the card.
Live harness racing on the Delaware circuit will shift to Bally's Dover, which opens for live racing on Nov. 4 with a post time of 4:30 p.m. and a Monday-through-Thursday race schedule.
