Updated: Four Breeders Crown Post Draws Tuesday
The post position draws for the finals of the Breeders Crown Three-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Trot, Three-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace, Mare Pace and Open Trot will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 22 as part of a luncheon from 2-5 p.m. (EDT) at Hogan Equine in Cream Ridge, New Jersey.
The draws will begin at 3 p.m. and will stream live on Meadowlands Racetrack’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Elimination winners will draw for posts one through six before the remaining finalists are put in an open draw.
With the news that Karl will not be entered in the post draw for the three-year-old colt trot, Trot Insider has confirmed that Highland Kismet was the first also eligible and will be entered.
The updated finalists for those divisions are listed below in alphabetical order:
- $600,000 USD Breeders Crown Three-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Trot: Amazing Catch, Daiquiri Hanover, Greenspan, Highland Kismet, Private Access, Secret Agent Man, Security Protected, Sig Sauer, T C I, and Tony Adams S. Elim winners: Daiquiri Hanover and T C I.
- $600,000 USD Breeders Crown Three-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace: Calicojack Hanover, Captain Albano, Captain Luke, Gem Quality, Howlenthehills, McCrunch, Mirage Hanover, Nijinsky, Sweet Beach Life, Timeisonmyside. Elim winners: Captain Albano, Mirage Hanover.
- $600,000 USD Breeders Crown Open Trot: Ari Ferrari J, Asteroid, Bestfriend Volo, Hasty Bid, Hillexotic, Its Academic, Logan Park, Oh Well, Periculum, Up Your Deo, Winners Bet. No elims.
- $400,000 USD Breeders Crown Mare Pace: Always B Naughty, Beach Cowgirl, Dabarndawgswatchin, Grace Hill, Kobes Gigi, Silver Label, Strong Poison, Sylvia Hanover, Twin B Joe Fresh, Valar Dohaeris. Elim winner: Grace Hill. Byes: Silver Label, Strong Poison.

The finals for the four two-year-old events will be contested on Friday at The Meadowlands and all other finals will be held on Saturday. First-race post time is 6:20 p.m. both nights. FOX Sports will air coverage from 8-11 p.m. both nights; Friday on FS1, Saturday on FS2.
