Shes Got It All Tackles Preferred Mares At Mohawk
Shes Got It All earned her first victory against Fillies & Mares Preferred competition as she prevailed over favourite Tells On A Roll in Friday night's $36,000 distaff feature at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Firing from the outside post six, driver Doug McNair put Shes Got It All on the point into a :27.2 opening quarter before the Travis Cullen-driven Tells On A Roll, a 10-time Preferred winner this year and the 2-5 favourite, swept to command down the backstretch as they hit the half-mile mark in :56. Flushed from the pocket as the mares approached three-quarters in 1:24.4, Shes Got It All set her sights on the leader for the stretch drive and pulled ahead late for the 1:52 victory. Tells On A Roll settled for second a length back with third prize going to Huntress, who was first off the gate and closed quickest of all between foes for Jonathan Drury.
Stepping up in class off a close runner-up finish a week ago, Shes Got It All was sent postward as the 3-1 second choice and paid $8.30 to win.
Trained by Rick Zeron, the six-year-old Bettors Delight-Regally Ready mare has hit the board in half of her 30 starts this year, including five winning efforts, while earning $126,360 for Pennsylvania owner Hutt Racing Stable. Picking up her 19th career win, Shes Got It All now sports a bankroll just shy of $450,000.
McNair, who drove Shes Got It All for the first time this year, won four of Friday's 10 races following a Breeders Crown elimination win with Glenview Livestock's two-year-old pacing filly The Last Martini this afternoon at The Meadowlands.
