Killer Instinct Earns Mark In Meadows Feature
Killer Instinct made the decisive move to the top at the quarter and jogged home from there, scoring in a career-best 1:52.4 in Thursday’s (Oct. 10) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $16,892 conditioned trot.
Once Killer Instinct seated Windsong Patriot, the six-year-old Southwind Frank-Wheely Quick gelding steadily widened his lead for Hunter Myers and scored by a convincing 2-1/2 lengths. Windsong Patriot and Saint K completed the ticket.
Melanie O’Donnell trains Killer Instinct and Windsong Patriot, giving her an exacta sweep. She owns Killer Instinct, who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $462,933, with Corey Hendricks.
Friday (Oct. 11) is a special evening of racing at The Meadows, featuring the $200,000 USD Pennsylvania Fair championships; the eighth annual Pink Out to benefit cancer awareness, research and treatment; corgi racing, and a Family Fun Night. The card and all other activities kick off at 5:10 p.m.
