Lexi B Strong In Meadows Feature
Lexi B quarter-poled to the top and held off a host of challengers late to capture Wednesday’s (Oct. 9) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $17,568 conditioned trot.
Momoni De Vie, the even-money favourite, released Lexi B at the quarter and tried to take advantage of the ensuing pocket trip. But Lexi B stayed strong for Ronnie Wrenn Jr., downing Momoni De Vie by a neck in 1:55.4 to equal her career best. Iron Wheel rallied four wide for show.
Ron Burke trains Lexi B, a three-year-old daughter of Southwind Frank-Sand Lavender Blu, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Dave Palone piloted four winners on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (Oct. 10) when the program features a pair of carryovers: $1,766.57 in the Early Pick 4 (race one), $249.66 in the Pick 5 (race nine). First post is 12:45 p.m.
