Neigh Brr Lady Tops Buckeye Classic Sale

Neigh Brr Lady was the sale topper of the 10th annual Buckeye Classic Yearling Sale held on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Champions Center Expo in Springfield, Ohio.

Selling as Hip 181, Neigh Brr Lady was purchased for $55,405 ($41,000 USD) by Stacey Nisonger of Lebanon, Ohio. Consigned by agent LMN Bred Stables, the filly is sired by In Range out of the Cantab Hall mare Lady Bella, who is a sibling to five $100,000+ earners. Neigh Brr Lady is a half sister to Ohio Sires Stakes winner Alanas Way ($64,514 - 1:57.3f).

Mile Range, also sired by In Range, was the highest priced yearling colt of the sale with a final bid of $54,054 ($40,000 USD). The winning bidder was Brent Davis of Zanesville, Ohio, acting as agent. Selling as Hip 135 from the Dublin Valley Farm consignment, the colt is the third foal out of the Yankee Glide mare, Glide Onin Sabrina. His dam is a half-sibling to stakes winner Hes A Demon ($315,878 - 1:53.1).

Rounding out the top three sellers was Ready For Sunshine, Hip 8, a Ready For Moni-A Ray Of Sunshine colt purchased for $51,351 ($38,000 USD) by Dalten Walls of Greenville, Ohio, acting as agent. Also consigned by Dublin Valley Farm, the colt is the second foal out of a Cantab Hall sister to stakes winners Lady Rainbow ($800,616 - 1:54.2f) and Hasty Bid ($698,121 - 1:50.2).

A total of 339 yearlings were sold, grossing $5.39 million ($3.99 million USD) and averaging $11,920 ($8,821 USD).
