Flamboro Distaff Preferred To Gias Surreal
Millionaire Gias Surreal went to the gate in the $11,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Handicap Pace as the bettors' choice and rightfully so as she delivered with a half length victory on Thursday (Oct. 3) evening at Flamboro Downs.
Leaving from post five, Gias Surreal and Tyler Moore aimed for the top, tucking into second before the quarter in :26.3. Moore kept the Donald Lindsey student in the pocket through the :56.1 half and moved her just before the 1:25.1 three quarters. Gias Surreal angled around the pacesetting Major League N and kept on going to win by a half length in 1:55.2. Major League N (Ed Hensley) finished second. Exotic Dragon (Travis Henry) saved show.
The eight-year-old daughter of So Surreal - Nancy Irene is owned by James Graham, Edward Peron, and Lee Winters. She recorded her fourth win of the year and 39th career victory. In 170 starts, Gias Surreal has produced $1,047,655 in career earnings. She returned $2.60 to win.
