The highest-priced yearling of 2010 comes into his three-year-old season with lofty expectations and hopes of repeating million-dollar magic

at Mohawk Racetrack.

Simply Business is ranked at #4 in the Trot 2012 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book with odds of 7-1. The lightly campaigned freshman won four of eight outings in 2011, but made the most of that limited exposure with a 20-1 upset in the $1-million Metro Pace.

Where did he winter and when did he start back?

"He wintered at Jimmy Takter's farm in New Jersey and he started back in January," said the colt's co-owner Al Libfeld.

Where is he at now and when will he qualify?

"He's doing everything correctly," said Libfeld. Simply Business is projected to qualify at The Meadowlands either April 27 or May 3.

What will his early schedule look like leading up to the Pepsi NA Cup?

Plans are to race on May 19 in the first leg of the New Jersey Sires Stakes at The Meadowlands.

What does his tentative schedule look like after the NA Cup?

"He staked to all the dances," said Libfeld.

“I’m hoping he will race in the Jug. He’s never raced on a half-mile track but the Jug is one of the prestige races," said Takter. "When I won the Jug in 2006 with Mr. Feelgood it was fantastic. I’m hoping my owners get to see him race in Delaware, this is the first pacer they have ever owned.”

Any other promising NA Cup-eligible colts in the barn?

Takter also trains Time To Roll, a full brother to $901,756 winner Rockin Image, made only three starts as a freshman and took his record of 1:51.2 in his NJSS win at The Meadowlands.
