Itll Be Fine Upsets In Fraser Preferred Pace

Itll Be Fine

Itll Be Fine was more than fine in the $10,000 Preferred Handicap Pace on Friday evening, Sept. 20 at Fraser Downs, returning to winning form in the featured class from the second tier.

Following the rail horse from post eight as the trailer in his class, Itll Be Fine and David Hudon got away fifth while the rest of the field battled ahead. Itll Be Fine maintained his position in fifth through the :26.3 quarter and :54.3 half before slipping outside and into a hole in third.

He watched the battle unfold at the top between 1-5 favoured Sunshine Boy (Scott Knight) and 9-2 second choice Whiplash Smile (Rod Therres) as the three-quarters clicked in 1:22.4. In the stretch, Itll Be Fine snuck up the inside to pass them both in the 27-1 upset. Itll Be Fine won by a measured length in 1:52.2 while Sunshine Boy finished second. Waitin Ona River (Kevin Anderson) bested Whiplash Smile for the show spot.
