Nova Scotia Stampede Day At The Races Set
Truro Raceway, in partnership with Central Nova Scotia Sports and Entertainment, has announced the “Nova Scotia Stampede Pace,” a new signature harness racing event at Truro Raceway to commemorate the start of Nova Scotia Stampede week.
The event will be on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m., proudly featuring horses from across Nova Scotia, country music, special presentations, prizing and authentic Nova Scotian hospitality.
“We are pleased to help celebrate the emergence of the Nova Scotia Stampede, while also recognizing the strong history of harness racing within the complex,” said Truro Raceway General Manager Steve Fitzsimmons.
“The Nova Scotia Stampede has the opportunity to become a generational event for our community and province. In partnership with Truro Raceway Ltd., and the Province of Nova Scotia we are very excited to launch the Nova Scotia Stampede Pace,” said Matt Moore, CEO Central NS Sports & Entertainment.
For the Sunday, Sept. 22 race card, fans are asked to “Cowboy Up” and dress up in their best cowboy or cowgirl outfits to come to the track. There will be Nova Scotia Stampede prizes for the best dressed male and female, as well as fans who are dressed up will be eligible to participate in Stampede Trivia, with prizes to be won. Fans can also fill out a ballot in the program and drop into a ballot box near the program booth for a chance to win more prizes.
