Longtime harness racing industry participant Stacey Robinson (nee Smith) of Cardinal, Ont. passed away suddenly in her home at the age of 57.

Daughter to Bert and Iris Smith (Nee Hodgins), sister to Jo-Anne Smith (Steve Strafford) and Jill Smith, aunt to Kimberly Telford (Greg Palubiskie), Trina Telford (Ryan Mace), Cory Hobbs, Andrea Young (Curtis) and great-aunt to Brianna Geertsma, Nolan & Leah Mace and Quinn & Kendall Young. Wife to Wayne Robinson, grandmother to Taylin Robinson, stepmother to Brittany Kennedy (Randy) and Johnathan Robinson.

She will be fondly remembered by all members of the Smith and Robinson families and especially missed by her beloved canine companion, Dinah.

A Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Mountain Township Agricultural Hall, 2967 Lough Road, South Mountain on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. Stacey loved all animals especially horses therefore, in place of flowers the family is requesting monetary donations to be made to the Ottawa Humane Society on her behalf.
