Tioga Downs will end its successful 2024 season on Saturday, Sept. 21.

On closing night, the five-eighths mile from Nichols, N.Y. will give its yearly awards. Braxten Boyd is the top driver while Rob Harmon once again is top trainer.

On the promotional side of the evening, Tioga Downs will also be giving away a 2024 Toyota Corolla LE as a part of its Horseplay Car Giveaway promotion that is sponsored by the Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program. So far, Tioga Downs has raised more than $4,000 through this promotion with all the money going to local charities. Tioga Downs matches the total amount raised each month to double the donation for the given charity.

Saturday’s races will start at 6:15 p.m.  The 10-race card will be followed by a season-ending fireworks spectacular.
