Its Not My Vault Rebounds In Prospect Series
Trainer Kim Baxter's two-year-old trotting filly Its Not My Vault secured her fifth Prospect Series victory on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Grand River Raceway.
With regular reinsman Colin Kelly in the bike for Baxter and co-owner Coyote Wynd Farms, Its Not My Vault ($3.50) rebounded from a miscue last time out in the Sept. 7 leg at Hanover Raceway that was her only loss in six series starts. The favoured filly by The Bank got away third and swept to command down the backstretch en route to the 2:02 triumph by 1-3/4 lengths, with Banks A Million trotting into second and early leader Silver Manalishi completing the top three.
Sweet Swirl ($6.10) won the fastest division of this leg, taking a new lifetime mark of 1:58.4 with Anthony Haughan holding the reins. Trained by Don Lindsey and owned by Paul Lindsey, the Muscle Mass-Ms Paige filly earned her second Prospect win as she finished three lengths in front of Mr Kirsi and Talbot Ehbeesea after the early runaway leader began to tire down the backstretch.
