Driver Phil Giesbrecht closed out the season at The Track on 2 in style, winning six of nine while the other three races on the card went to 2024 leading driver, Mike Hennessy. Trainer David Kelly had a winner on the card as he claimed the 2024 trainer title at the track.

Giesbrecht came out of the gate hot, winning the first four races on the card. The natural grand slam was bookended by wins with the Jacques Lambert trained Kellys Chase and Downwiththesandman (pictured), sandwiching two wins for the Kelly Crump barn with Salary and Delta Sunrise.

Giesbrecht hopped in the bike for leading trainer David Kelly in the sixth to get the job done with Tin Can Timmy before closing out the card with yet another Lambert trainee, Artician.

The six wins were enough for Giesbrecht to rally for the final spot on the podium on the trainer standings behind Mike Hennessy and David Kelly.

With Hennessy's hat-trick on the Sunday card, he closed the season with 31 victories on the year. Kelly was second with 24, while Giesbrecht picked up 19.

On the training side of things, David Kelly successfully defended his title from 2023, closing the season with 17 training victories to his credit. Brinsley Brooking Lutz finished second with 13 victories in front of a three-way tie for the show spot between Lambert, Kevin Hildebrandt and Shanisty Andres each with nine wins for the meet.
