Tuning up for a potential appearance in the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes final, Dandys Mercy showed no mercy to her rivals in the $17,568 Winners Over Pace for fillies and mares at Tioga Downs on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Fade Out (Tyler Miller) was first to the quarter in :27, with favoured Dandys Mercy and Braxten Boys taking control with a lap to go. After a :55.4 and 1:23.4 third panel, Fade Out came back out to challenge in the stretch. Dandys Mercy let out another notch and cruised home in 1:51.1 to best Fade Out by two lengths. So Diva (Jim Pantaleano) finished third.

Dandys Mercy (Captain Crunch - Pardon) is trained by John Butenshoen for owners Hart Walker, Dandy Farms Racing, FT Racing, and Doug Overhiser.  It was her fifth win this season and ninth career tally, bringing her earnings to $197,569.

There is no live racing this Sunday (Sept. 1). Live racing returns to Tioga Downs on Monday (Sept. 2) with a 15-race card starting at 1 p.m.
