A Record Year For Trotting Speed
The current season is already a record year for trotting speed. Is a new all-age record within reach?
In the last decade, there have been two seasons with five trotting performers faster than 1:50 -- 2019 and 2024. That's the highest number of individuals with sub-1:50 miles in a given year.

The fastest trotting mile of this season is 1:49.2, shared by Ake Svanstedt trainees Jiggy Jog S and Southwind Tyrion. But how low can they go?
