Adamczyk Wins NAADA Summer Series Final

Stick With Me Kid winning at Yonkers Raceway

Andrew Adamczyk, who won the Spring Series final earlier this year, added another series win to his resume on Thursday, Aug. 22 when delivering 1-9 favourite Stick With Me Kid to the finish line first in the $27,397 North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) Summer Series final at Yonkers Raceway.

Leaving from post one, Adamczyk forced his peers to chase him right off the gate. He took command with Stick With Me Kid to a :29.2 first quarter and received only respect on the point with nary a challenger mounting a bid to a 1:00 half. Beacon Beach (Cote Keim), parked from the start first-up, started a retreat to the backside that clogged the outer tier all while Stick With Me Kid continued to muscle forward to three-quarters in 1:28.4. Stick With Me Kid spun for home on a four-length cushion and rolled with ease to the finish of a 1:58.1 mile to win by 3-1/2 lengths. Pocket-chaser Raceace (Alan Schwartz) gave futile pursuit from second as did Explosive Ridge (Matt Zuccarello) from third, beaten another two lengths. Psalmsfortysixfive (Scott Keppler) saved ground to grab fourth.

Nicholas Devita trains Stick With Me Kid, a 10-year-old gelding by Deweycheatumnhowe with nine wins on the season, for owner J M F Racing LLC.

Stick With Me Kid paid $2.10 to win.
