Sweet Angel Boy

Andrew Glassmeyer's Sweet Angel Boy ($3.60, Tony Morgan) overcame post eight in scoring a decisive 1:52.2 win in the $30,822 Free-For-All Pace Monday (Aug. 12) at Harrington Raceway.

Sweet Angel Boy was sent for the lead as the gate swung open and never relented in an open length win over Layton Hanover and Captaincountrystar. Sweet Angel Boy remained sharp after winning the $68,493 Governor's Cup in his prior race on July 25. Trained by his owner, the six-year-old Sweet Lou gelding has banked over $160,000 this season, his best year to date as he already surpassed his earnings of $102,558 from last year. The win was also the middle leg of three straight victories on the card for driver Morgan, who had four wins on the card.

Meanwhile, 81-year-old trainer Bob Sampson had a double on the card as full brothers Foxbriar Remark ($4) and Foxbriar Romeo ($84.20) prevailed. Both sons of Beach Romeo-Giovanna Fra were driven by Cody Poliseno.

Live racing will continue on a Monday/Tuesday schedule until Aug. 26 when a Monday-Wednesday schedule will resume until Oct. 23.
