Eastcoast Invader Pockets Inverness Feature

Eastcoast Invader

Trained and driven by Monica Sutherland, Eastcoast Invader made his way back to the winner's circle at Inverness Raceway in the featured Winners Over Pace on Sunday, Aug. 11.

Sunshine Lou (Campbell MacIsaac) was the first to claim the lead and controlled the timer through quarters in :29.2, :58.2, and 1:28.2. Sutherland bided her time until the stretch drive, using a :29.3 last quarter with Eastcoast Invader to stomp away to victory by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:58.1. Sunshine Lou had to settle for second and Yacht Seelster (Zachary Mullins) was fourth placed third after an interference placement.

Eastcoast Invader (Rollwithitharry - Manhattan Delight) is a seven-year-old gelding owned by breeder Todd Sutherland in partnership with Monica Sutherland. Winning his 22nd career race, he moved his seasonal record to 4-3-2 in 14 starts. As the 5-1 third choice, he paid $11.50 to win.
