The remainder of the Wednesday, Aug. 7 card of harness racing at Eldorado Scioto Downs was cancelled after an accident occurred during the ninth race.

As horses were vying for position at the top of the stretch, Just Kidding Katie, driven by Chris Page, hit the bike of the horse just to his inside and went down. Jeremy Smith, driving Manholmes, and Luke Hanners, in rein to Admiral Adam, were not able to avoid the downed horse and their horses also went down. Page, Smith and Hanners were all taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals.

The three horses involved all walked off the track.

An update on the drivers will be provided if and when possible.
