Write Me A Rose wrote himself another win, moved his lifetime sum past the half-million mark and recorded a new lifetime mark in the $36,000 Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday evening, Aug. 3 with a charge from the back of the pack to the victory. 

Travis Cullen eased the Kyle Fellows student out of the gate into sixth and idled through splits in :26.4 and :53.3. Write Me A Rose moved three-wide through the 1:20.3 three-quarters and charged home to win by 2-1/2 lengths in 1:48. Redwood Hanover (Jonathan Drury) finished second with Taurasi (Doug McNair) third.

Windermere Stable LLC bred and owns the four-year-old son of Sportswriter out of the Bettors Delight mare Caribbean Rose N. Write Me A Rose moved his seasonal tally to 7-3-2 in 17 starts, banking $135,586 of his $506,848 lifetime sum. The win was the 13th of his career and lowered his mark from 1:49 to 1:48. He paid $22.60 as the 10-1 upset victor.
