Rockemsockem Scott didn't need to throw any punches in the Winners Over Pace on Wednesday evening, July 31 at Inverness Raceway after he took the early lead and found a clear path to victory. 

Gerard Kennedy and the Donald Allan Kennedy student cleared the lead swiftly from the rail and maintained at least a 1-1/2-length advantage over the field as he controlled the timer in :28.4, :57.3 and 1:27.2. Without challenge, Rockemsockem Scott continued home to win by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56.4. Eastcoast Invader (Monica Sutherland) finished second and Sunshine Lou (Donald Gillis) was third.

Gerard Kennedy owns the seven-year-old Rockin Amadeus-Remis Rocket gelding. Rockemsockem Scott recorded his 22nd career triumph and moved his seasonal tally to 3-2-0 in seven starts. He returned $10.60 to win at 4-1 odds as the third choice on the board.
