The Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission (APHRC) has announced details regarding its annual Stretch Drive Fund Golf Tournament.

This year's golf tournament will take place during Old Home Week on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Fox Meadow Golf Course in Stratford, P.E.I., with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. 

There is a limit of 24 teams for the tournament. Early registration is $400 for a team of four.

Started in 2007 by APHRC (then MPHRC) officials, the Stretch Drive Fund provides monetary assistance to horsepeople who have been in an accident, have an illness, or fallen on hard times. The fund has distributed more than $189,000 since its inception.
