Bobby LaRush Passes

In loving memory of

Former Standardbred groom Robert "Bobby" Guy LaRush of Norwood, Ont., affectionally known as "Bucko," passed away suddenly on July 25, 2024 at the age of 58 with his family by his side.

He was the son of Judy (Robin), loving brother Peter (Julie), uncle to his only niece Leah and is predeceased by his father Guy. He will always be remembered by his aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.

Bobby enjoyed volunteering his time at the Norwood Legion, whether it was selling poppies at the grocery store or dressing up as an elf for the children’s Christmas party. He loved the little communities that he lived in. He was known as a Havelock Hotel legend. He had a love for horses and harness racing. He loved listening to music and making people laugh. Bobby’s love for his dog Cash was immeasurable and he
now is reunited with his best friend.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Hendren Funeral Home - Norwood Chapel. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Tribute will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to The Peterborough Regional Health Centre by calling 705-639-5322 or by visiting hendrenfuneralhome.com.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Bobby LaRush.
