Dr. John Flanigan Passes
Dr. John Michael Flanigan D.V.M., of Guelph, Ont., passed away at his home after a brief illness on Thursday, July 18 at the age of 69.
Survived by his sister Dr. Kate Flanigan D.V.M., and his brothers Jim and Jeff. Predeceased by his brother Tim.
A lifelong fan of the Standardbred horse, John will be missed by many.
As per John's wishes, cremation will take place.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St., N, Guelph, ON (519-822-4731).
Donations in memory of John may be made to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.

Dr John aways had time to chat or give good advice, no matter where you seen him at the Delaware sale or when he was busy racing one of his horses in Grand River a true horseman friend . RIP Donnie Rankin

Very sad news upon hearing John’s passing. My sincere condolences to his family and all his friends. I was one of many, who were privledged to have known John, from the early days of him practicing at the old Orangeville Raceway, John’s expertice was renowned back then and remained that way throughout his entire career. May he rest in peace.

John was a excellent vet who over the years became a good friend! I always felt he took a special interest in my horses ... but I think he made every client feel the same way. My condolences to Kate, Jim and Jeff. You will be missed my friend!

A great vet and even better person. His admiration for the animals will forever be unmatched. Flan my friend, you will be dearly missed. I’ll miss our chats and banter, but cherish the trips we took and the time we spent. Rest easy
