Its Not My Vault Tops Prospect Series At Georgian
Its Not My Vault perfected her young career to two-for-two after winning Tuesday (July 23) evening's feature at Georgian Downs as the $8,000 Prospect Series for freshman trotting fillies.
Colin Kelly took the Kim Baxter student to the gate in post four in the field of five. Kelly eased the filly off the car to the back of the pack. Two of the fillies went off stride, leaving Its Not My Vault to round out the field in third throughout the mile. Sweet Swirl (David Boughton) controlled the tempo with marks in :30.4, 1:01.1 and 1:31.1 while D A Dream Girl (Brett MacDonald) and Its Not My Vault continued in single file behind her. Its Not My Vault bided her time until late in the stretch to make a pass and win by a length in 2:00.3. D A Dream Girl grabbed second and Sweet Swirl was third.
Its Not My Vault (The Bank - Moms Apple Pie) is owned by Coyote Wynd Farms and Kim Baxter. She paid $3.00 to win.
