Rockin Belle Rebounds In Photogenic Mares; Allards Dominate Again
Last week’s performance in the third leg of the Photogenic Mares Series was a nightmare for Rockin Belle, but Thursday’s performance in the rich final at Rideau Carleton Raceway was perfect

The public sent the Rene Allard trainee off as the 2-5 favourite in the nine-horse affair, and the three-year-old daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-Barrington Belle A didn’t disappoint.
Simon Allard hustled Rockin Belle to immediate command from Post 3 and the filly proceeded to whack out fractions of :27.4, :56.2 and 1:25.2 before using a :29.3 closing quarter to win by half a length over Barockey in 1:55. Upfrontandpersonal tagged along to finish third.
Anatolia Racing Stb Inc of Hopewell Junction, NY shares ownership on the youngster with Rene Allard of Saint-Esprit, QC. The victory was the fifth lifetime score for the pacing lass, who now boasts a 3-1-0 record from five trips postward this season. The $11,100 payday boosted her overall earnings to $31,400.
Team Allard also clicked in the $13,000 Preferred Pace with Stonebridge Wish, who survived a parked out trip to win for the second week-in-a-row in the class. The nine-year-old son of Camluck-Star Crusher fired home in :28.4 after being out the route and halted the teletimer in 1:54 to win by half a length over Outrageous Art. Thundering Bay came on late to finish third.
Sent off as the 4-5 favourite in the seven-horse affair, Stonebridge Wish won for the fourth time this year and for the 26th time in his career. The winner in excess of $395,000 is owned by Rene Allard, J And A Bianco Holdings Ltd and Gilles Fleury.
Trainer Rene Allard celebrated a three-win night while Simon Allard finished his night at the office with six victories.
