Meadows Saturday Features To Flite Craft, Kings County

Kings County winning at The Meadows

Flite Craft made it two straight on Saturday, July 13 at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, sealing the deal with a swift :27 final quarter to capture the card’s co-feature, a $16,438 conditioned pace, in 1:51.

Flite Craft quarter-poled to the top for Mike Wilder, and while would-be challengers emerged late, the four-year-old Rocknroll Dance-Kitty Kitty Hawk gelding put them away with that smoking final panel. Timeisonmyside rallied for second, beaten 2-1/2 lengths, with Moneyman Mikki third.

Norm Parker trains Flite Craft, who lifted his lifetime bankroll over $130,000, for Tenpin Stable, Albert Parker, Ryan Parker and Tom Klosky Jr.

In Saturday’s companion feature, a $16,438 conditioned trot, Kings County (pictured above) needed the entire first quarter to reach the point, but he widened his lead thereafter for Anthony MacDonald to triumph in 1:53.4. Early leader Chin Chin Hall was second, six lengths back, while Big Boy Ernest completed the ticket.

Tim Twaddle conditions the eight-year-old son of Muscle Hill-Brooklyn, who now boasts career earnings of more than $555,000, for TheStable Kings County.

Ronnie Wrenn Jr. collected four wins on the 14-race card, including three for trainer Ron Burke, while trainer Dirk Simpson fashioned a triple.

Live harness racing at The Meadows resumes on Wednesday with first post at 12:45 p.m.
