Meadows Saturday Features To Flite Craft, Kings County
Flite Craft made it two straight on Saturday, July 13 at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, sealing the deal with a swift :27 final quarter to capture the card’s co-feature, a $16,438 conditioned pace, in 1:51.
Flite Craft quarter-poled to the top for Mike Wilder, and while would-be challengers emerged late, the four-year-old Rocknroll Dance-Kitty Kitty Hawk gelding put them away with that smoking final panel. Timeisonmyside rallied for second, beaten 2-1/2 lengths, with Moneyman Mikki third.
Norm Parker trains Flite Craft, who lifted his lifetime bankroll over $130,000, for Tenpin Stable, Albert Parker, Ryan Parker and Tom Klosky Jr.
In Saturday’s companion feature, a $16,438 conditioned trot, Kings County (pictured above) needed the entire first quarter to reach the point, but he widened his lead thereafter for Anthony MacDonald to triumph in 1:53.4. Early leader Chin Chin Hall was second, six lengths back, while Big Boy Ernest completed the ticket.
Tim Twaddle conditions the eight-year-old son of Muscle Hill-Brooklyn, who now boasts career earnings of more than $555,000, for TheStable Kings County.
Ronnie Wrenn Jr. collected four wins on the 14-race card, including three for trainer Ron Burke, while trainer Dirk Simpson fashioned a triple.
