Tlb Racing’s Captaincountrystar ($9.20) scored his fifth straight victory at Harrington Raceway, winning the featured $30,821 Free-For-All Pace in 1:50.4 on Monday, June 24.

Driven by Pat Berry, Captaincountrystar was used hard to make the lead from post seven but eventually got there in :27. He sped to the half-mile in :54.3 and three-quarters in 1:22.4 before a :28 last quarter held off a late-closing charge from Layton Hanover, who finished second, while Sweet Angel Boy was third.

The winning time equalled a lifetime best for the Traci Berry-trained four-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding, who was ascending in class from Winners Over ranks.

Pat Berry and Art Stafford Jr. each won three races on the card.

Live harness racing will continue through Wednesday, June 26, with post time at 4:30 p.m., before the annual summer hiatus.
