Coulter Reaches Money Milestone

Driver Scott Coulter reached a career earnings milestone on Friday, June 21 at Grand River Raceway, surpassing the $40 million mark.

Coulter hit the money milestone with a fourth-place finish aboard Happy Looker in the evening's $5,800 seventh race.

The 53-year-old Brantford, Ont. reinsman, who earned his first driving win in 1995, has won 5,925 races lifetime and has picked up track titles in Ontario and New York along the way. A multiple stakes winner, Coulter was the regular driver of trotting filly Kadabra Queen during her 2017 O'Brien Award-winning freshman season.

He's had 19 million-dollar seasons, including back-to-back years driving winners of more than $3.2 million in 2011 and 2012. During a career-best campaign in 2011, he earned 467 wins, which ranked second-best in the nation and was one of three seasons in which he topped the 400-win mark.
